2000

In 2000, Specialist Assoc. Prof. Basak Şeker started her education in dentistry at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry which is located in Capital City of Turkey, Ankara from where she successfully graduated.

2008

In 2008, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Near East University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Periodontology, in Northern Cyprus and was one of the founding staff in 2007.

2012

In 2012, she completed her doctoral thesis and received the titles of " PhD and Doctor of Science " from the Department of Periodontology and "Periodontology Specialist" from the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health.

2012

In 2012, she worked as Assistant Professor at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Dentistry Department of Periodontology and took part in the establishment phase of this faculty. She was also appointed to the staff of the Faculty of Education, where she provided clinical and formal education at undergraduate and graduate levels which she continues to this day.

2022

In 2022, she became an Associate Professor, along with her clinical and academical studies at University and from this date she continues her clinical studies at Dentarma Turkey Dental Aesthetics and Implantology Clinic in Antalya.

She has written more than 30 articles in respected domestic and foreign scientific journals, and more than 50 papers in national and international congresses.

Her professional interests include dental implant surgery, peri-implantitis gingival surgical treatments, gingival diseases and treatments and laser applications.

She is married to Prosthetic Dentistry Specialist Prof.Dr. Emre Şeker and they have a son and a daughter.

She speaks English.
